We start our Pinnacles 4WD Adventure with a visit to Caversham Wildlife Park in the Swan Valley. This is home to over 200 species of animals where you are able to watch koalas and hand feed kangaroos. Explore all of the animals with a private guided tour before visiting Molly’s Farm and watching the Stockman’s Show and whip-cracking extravaganza. Next we travel to the lobster fishing town of Cervantes for lunch and visit the Lobster Shack – a lobster processing plant – for a short, informative talk.
Afterwards, we drive towards the coast and visit the mystical & eerie Pinnacles Desert in the grounds of Nambung National Park. Here, millions of years ago, seashells were broken down into sand and then eroded by water and wind to create the spires we see today. We enjoy an easy paced walk through the fascinating landscape where you will be in awe at the sheer size (covering 17,491 hectares) and number of these spires before a quick visit to the Pinnacles Desert Visitor Centre.
Afterwards enjoy a thrilling experience of sand boarding and 4-wheel driving over the vast sand dunes of Lancelin. Spanning more than 2 kilometres, you will be in awe of the sheer size of these dunes. Stop to view wildflowers throughout the tour whilst they are in season (September to November). Varieties include the orange flowering Christmas Tree, Kangaroo Paw, Banksia, Wattle and Everlastings.
We finish our Pinnacles 4WD Adventure in Perth approximately 7:30pm
