Having been in the Western Australian tourism industry since the early 1990’s, it has always intrigued me as to why the largest and most pristine state in Australia only gets a very small portion of the National Tourist pie.
Is it due to a lack of marketing by the Government? Is it a lack of knowledge of the beauty and natural wonders of our region, or is it that the cost of traversing such a massive expanse of land puts people off travelling West.
It would be interesting to see how many guests flying direct from London to Perth are actually stopping here and how many are transitting to other destinations without exploring our region.
