Outside of Optus Stadium and Matagarup Bridge
Blue Boat House
Rainbow Sea Containers
Fremantle Cappuccino Strip
Optional Elizabeth Quay Drop-off
After getting picked up from the centrally located Tourist Bus Stop outside the Perth Train Station we make the journey across the Swan River over to the now famous and stunningly beautiful Optus Stadium, on our way passing locations such as the Perth Mint, Crown Casino and Crown Towers. Opened in January 2018 this 60,000 seat, world-class, multi-purpose Stadium hosts a variety of sports and entertainment events.
Once at the stadium you get the opportunity to stroll around the outside and marvel at Perth’s newest iconic landmark. Adjacent to Optus Stadium is the strikingly beautiful Matagarup Bridge, a pedestrian bridge directly linking East Perth to Burswood Peninsula and Optus Stadium. Matagarup Bridge, opened in July 2018 completes the spectacular scene of this exciting new entertainment and sporting precinct.
Now the next part is up to you! You can choose to walk across the bridge and grab some views and we’ll pick you up on the other side. Or if you prefer you can jump back in the comfort of the bus where the driver will meet those walkers on the other side. It’s your personal preference.
Once everyone is back on board the bus, we drive through East Perth past the The WACA Ground, Gloucester Park Race Course and the Swan River Foreshore. Get views of the Bell Tower and Elizabeth Quay on our way to one of Perth’s most instagrammed locations, The Blue Boat House. Here you can get off the bus and get your own insta-worthy photo or selfie to post on social media.
After all the fun of the boat house we then travel up to Kings Park for our lunch break. Lunch is at your own expense, there’s a nice little kiosk to purphase food or feel free to bring your own and have a picnic. While at Kings Park be sure to check out the views over-looking our beautiful city.
We then head south to Cottesloe Beach, Perth’s most famous beach with its sparkling blue water, white sands and the most well-kept green grass. While here snap some photos of the iconic Cottesloe Surf Life Saving building, buy a yummy ice-cream or if you are quick enough, a quick dip in the ocean. Time is limited though so it really is just a quick swim.
The quirky city of Fremantle is our next destination. Lots to see here. Stops include the Rainbow Sea Containers and Cappuccino Strip. You’ll have time to stroll down the famous strip, browse the quaint little shops, sit back, relax and purchase a drink in this bustling and vibrant precinct that locals and tourists adore.
On our way back to Perth, we drive along the edge of the Swan River, with beautful views this is definately the scenic route home. Once home in the city you can choose to be dropped off at Elizabeth Quay or back to the Tourist Bus Stop. Central City hotel drops off can be arranged upon request.
Departs Perth City at 10:00am each Thursday from April to September and returns at 4:00pm
