Your Margaret River Camping Tour departs from Perth City bright and early around 5.30am. First, we will be heading to Augusta, the most south western point in Australia and 3rd European Settlement in Western Australia. Here you will take a morning half hour tour to the top of Leeuwin Lighthouse for impressive views of where the Southern and Indian Oceans meet.
Enjoy lunch along the beautiful southwest coast before exploring the biggest show cave in Western Australia – the “Jewel Cave” – for a 1 hour, guided tour. You’ll then head to Hamlin Bay where hopefully you will be lucky enough to meet the friendly stingrays or choose to go for a swim, dip your toes in the beautiful Indian Ocean or enjoy a relaxing afternoon beach walk.
Travel to Margaret River through the stunning Boranup Forest, home to ancient Karri trees, where we then arrive at your evening safari camp nestled amidst the towering timber of the Wooditjup National Park for some rest, a hot shower and a wholesome meal for your first night of the Margaret River 4 day Camping Explorer Tour

Wake up in the comfort of your Safari Tent surrounded by the beautiful Wooditjup Forest. Following a hearty breakfast, we head off to hike a section of the Cape to Cape track. This features spectacular coastal and forest scenery, a fascinating geology of cliffs, caves, headlands and rock formations and an ever-changing display of vegetation and wildflowers. You may even be lucky enough to spy humpback whales leaping and seeing surfers riding giant waves. This track also has incredibly fascinating indigenous and European history. Your hike will be around 2-3 hours (we won’t have time to do all 124km of the track!), but this depends on time and weather.
Enjoy a well deserved post-hike lunch in the forest or by the ocean before heading back to camp for a warm shower and refresh. This afternoon, we spend exploring exploring the town of Margaret River…colloquially known as “Margs”. Discover the countless shops, cafes and winebars along the lovely main street and absorb the community feel of this iconic town.
As the evening rolls around you will be treated to an Aussie BBQ, and in winter we’ll even add on a campfire.
