This all encompassing journey through the south west of Australia visits such iconic, Western Australian towns and attractions including Wave Rock, the remote town of Esperance and Cape Le Grand National Park, the historic town of Albany, Mount Clarence & Torndirrup National Park as well as the ancient Southern Forests, the world famous Tree Top Walk, Cape Leeuwin Lighthouse and the picturesque Margaret River wine region.  We understand that you need clean and comfortable accommodation after an exciting day of touring and therefore this tour is accommodated in 3* Lodgings on a Twin or Triple Share basis.

Description

Day 1 – Tuesday (Perth – Augusta)

Depart Perth at 7am and head south in air-conditioned comfort. Visit Busselton Jetty, the longest wooden pier jetty in the Southern Hemisphere.
Visit Canal Rocks before a semi-guided tour of Ngilgi Cave.
Travel past picturesque vineyards and sample wines at a local winery, before travelling to the world renowned Surfers Point Lookout at Prevelly Beach, then travel through the Boranup Forest to Augusta.
Augusta – Hotel/Motel (private facilities) – Dinner

Day 2 – Wednesday (Augusta – Pemberton)

Visit Cape Leeuwin – the most south west point of Australia. See the waterwheel and lighthouse, and perhaps spot the seasonal whales or dolphins along the coastline.
Visit Margaret River town-site, then travel through the Karri Valley forest. to Beedelup Waterfalls and see spectacular wildflowers in season (Aug – Oct).
Pemberton- Hotel/Motel (private facilities) – continental breakfast and dinner

Day 3 – Thursday (Pemberton – Albany)

For the adventurer, visit the Diamond Tree, then stop at the Giant Tingle Tree. Visit Valley of the Giants and experience the spectacular Tree Top Walk – a canopy boardwalk 40 metres above the forest floor, then stroll
through the Ancient Empire.  Enjoy a walk at Greens Pool or Elephant Rocks. See the rugged coastline – Natural Bridge & The Gap for great ocean views.
Albany – Motel (private facilities) – continental breakfast and dinner

Day 4 – Friday (Albany – Esperance)

After breakfast, Visit Mt Clarence for great views surrounding Albany, and perhaps whales in season. See Dog Rock and other local attractions.  Visit Mt Romance Sandalwood Factory, then sample wines at a local winery. Travel through the Stirling Ranges and drive to the base of Bluff Knoll for some great views. View seasonal wildflowers. (Aug – Oct).
Esperance – Hotel/Motel (private facilities) continental breakfast and dinner

Day 5 – Saturday (Esperance)

Start your day with a coastal drive taking you past spectacular beaches and Twilight Cove before travelling to Cape Le Grand National Park home of the Frenchman’s Peak. Relax with a swim at picturesque Lucky
Bay and perhaps see dolphins frolicking in the clear waters and kangaroos on the beach. Return to Esperance for Dinner.

Day 6 – Sunday (Esperance – Wave Rock – Perth)

Today we journey to Wave Rock and explore this amazing formation, as well as Hippo’s Yawn. After lunch we travel through some farming country and stop at a dog cemetery on your journey home to Perth, arriving
approx. 6pm. See seasonal wildflowers (Aug – Oct).

Our modern fleet of Coasters have ample leg room, tinted windows, CD and/or tape decks, individual heating and air-conditioning controls, and suitable head space so passengers have unrestricted viewing.

Luggage:

Please bring only a suitcase or backpack and/or small carry bag. Maximum 15kg Maximum case size "25 x 50 x 75cm" Please keep luggage to a minimum as space is limited. Often hotels will store luggage for you upon check-out until your return so please check with your pre-tour accommodation if required.

We can cater to vegetarians but we must be advised upon booking, otherwise normal meal arrangements will prevail. Some dietary needs may be the passengers’ own responsibility.

Lunch: a mixture of cold meats, salads, quiche or seafood at cafes, or picnic style.
Dinner: a mixture of Western style meals at cafes, restaurants, and Aussie BBQ.

Upgrades:

Single room with private En-suite Bathroom for additional $600 per person

Fitness Level:

Basic fitness for required for some light bush-walks and hill-climbs. This tour is designed for those who wish to participate in light activities and get close to nature.

What to bring:

Beach towel in warmer months, good walking shoes, hat, camera, sunscreen, insect repellent, small water bottle, a warm jacket, long pants (nights can be cool), your favourite CD, a smile and a sense of adventure.

As we are travelling in remote areas, you should ensure you are covered for medical expenses including emergency repatriation to your home country at a minimum. We recommend that the policy also covers personal liability, curtailment and loss of luggage and personal effects.
